Julie was raised by professional classical musicians in the Midwest.  Her mother, a pianist and father, a violinist, met at The Eastman School of Music and began teaching music to Julie at a very early age.  Starting piano at age 4, composing at age 11 and singing at 15, Julie has studied music intensively for over 25 years.  She attended Drury College in Springfield, Missouri and Trinity College of Music in London, England.  Julie earned her Bachelor of Music degree with majors in piano, voice and music theory.  She performs, composes, and sings in a variety of styles.  In addition to her passion for writing original music and singing on film soundtracks, Julie is pursuing numerous endeavors including screenwriting, acting, film scoring and voiceover work.

Julie brought her expertise to Los Angeles where she has happily been working as a session singer for feature films as well as performing, recording, writing music and working as an actress.  Julie’s first acting role in a film was in the 2011 Academy Award-winning film, “The Artist,” which she describes as an amazingly special and unforgettable experience. 

In 2007, Julie released her first full-length original CD entitled, “This is the Love I Have.”  Her original music has been described as beautiful, inspiring and soulful.  Julie is currently working on her next record which is to be released in 2017.
